Who We Are
We are a multinational group of independent Latin American translators, certified translators, and sworn and certified interpreters, based in the United States, Panama, and Uruguay.
We specialize in English ↔ Spanish ↔ Portuguese. We have full-time freelance translators working in many countries around the world, allowing us to offer a wide range of language services.
We coordinate work from the U.S. and Uruguay, with native translators in each language ensuring professional quality in both directions.
Our translation professionals work from their own environment in their home country. This has been our way of operating since the group’s inception.
Our Story
Our founder grew up between Texas and Montevideo, Uruguay, living in both cultures since childhood. This gave him something you can’t learn in courses: true native command of both English and Spanish.
TranSlate Traducciones was established in 2011, with a strong combination of cutting-edge technology and native target-language translators.
Most of our translators are true bilinguals who didn’t learn a second language in an institution. This helps understand:
- How a Uruguayan thinks vs. an American
- What works in Rioplatense Spanish vs. neutral Castilian
- How American English sounds natural vs. British English
This bicultural experience is the foundation of all our translations.
With the arrival of artificial intelligence, TranSlate invested considerable time in the study and development of Mercurio™ AI, an artificial intelligence module for linguistic applications with excellent results.
